Somehow within all the stress of PSLE and hw, I have managed to find the time to blog again. <3
This time, I want to post a poem by Helen Steiner Rice called 'Meet Life's Trials with Smiles'. It's really special and encouraging, and it's my way, too, of thanking my angel for helping me meet life's trials with smiles.
Meet Life's Trials with Smiles
There are times when life overwhelms us,
And our trials seem too many to bear,
It is then we should stop to remember
God is standing by ready to share
The uncertain hours that confront us
And fill us with fear and despair
For God in His goodness has promised
That the cross He gives us to wear
Will never exceed our endurance
Or be more than our strength can bear...
And secure in that blessed assurance
We can smile as we face tomorrow
For God holds the key to the future
And no sorrow or care need we borrow!
I hope you've enjoyed this poem.
And to my "Sakura no tenshi", I would like to say that indeed I loved those little "fleur-y" flowers- sakuras!- and I am trying not to eat that delicious-looking Pooh sweets to preserve the happiness that it brought me. Thank you!!!

Too Little Too Late

Come with me, stay the night
You say the words but boy it don't feel right
Do you expect me to say (You know it's just too little too late)
You take my hand, and you say you've changed
But boy you know your beggin don't fool me
Because to you it's just a game
So let me go now
Cause time has made me strong
I'm starting to move on
I'm gonna say this now
Your chance has come and gone
And you know
It's just too little too late
A little too wrong
And I can't wait
You know all the right things to say (You know it's just too little too late)
You say you dream of my face
But you don't like me
You just like the chase
To be real, it doesn't matter anyway (You know it's just too little too late)
I was young and in love
I gave you everything but it wasn't enough
And now you wanna communicate
Go find someone else
In lettin you go, I'm lovin myself
You got a problem
But don't come askin me for help
Cause you know
It's just too little too late
A little too wrong
And I can't wait
You know all the right things to say (You know it's just too little too late)
You say you dream of my face
But you don't like me
You just like the chase
To be real, it doesn't matter anyway (You know it's just too little too late)
I can love with all of my heart baby
I know I have so much to give (I have so much to give)
With a player like you, I don't have a prayer
That's the way to live, yeah oh
It's just too little, too late
Yeah
It's just too little too late
A little too wrong
And I can't wait
You know all the right things to say (You know it's just too little too late)
You say you dream of my face
But you don't like me
You just like the chase
To be real, it doesn't matter anyway (You know it's just too little too late)

^That was entirely random stuff from http://www.geocities.com/hip2ahop3/toolittletoolate.txt. (also a leetle edited from me)

I am going to do a stupid random post again. o.0
Okay. I do maintain a rather pained expression from post-armeggedon results, but most of it has gone from idling on ISC. <3>
I was right. That bossy kid DID get worse. She/he (not disclosing gender) rambled under her/his breath like she/he was drunk, and occasionally screamed with delirious laughter. I made the mistake of letting her/him play with my Disney Art CD. She/he destroyed my drawings and nearly deleted one of my best ones.
AND, of course, the fact that I nearly lost my patience, and my brother (who was feigning homework load and instead taking the opportunity to eavesdrop) tsk-tsked at me and said loudly, "Grace, be PATIENT."
Stupid old brother. HE hardly does anything with the guests. He never serves drinks; replenishes the snacks; says hi; talks briefly with the older/younger guests; acts as babysitter to the younger kids.
All he does is collect hongbaos and play Black Jack with the rest. And later gloat over his collected money, waving them in my face, dang.
Luckily, little miss reiko-chan managed to remember that she had science notes to read and highlight (heng ah, don't need to record into sci-sense bk), and shut herself up in the room with her notes, pencilcase and laptop.
ok. my dad just came in and gave the grace-did-you-know-that-that-was-extremely-rude-of-you-and-you're-wasting-time-on-MY-laptop lecture.
come on. my brothers have shut themselves up during EVERY CNY, and do THEY get lectures?
No, you may not be too surprised to learn. They just get a mild tip-off and then are allowed to resume their computer games.
MY OWN BROTHER HAS SPENT LIKE PRACTICALLY 12 HRS ON HIS COM- BUT DOES HE GET FORCED OFF IT?
NO!

*dang i'm so angry that i am randomizing this post again with stupid crappy rubbish*

-random posting again-
today, I shall play hostess to another group of my father's friends again. I did not enjoy yesterday as much as I should have -playing the hostess- as there was this popular girl whose favourite topic was guys and whose voice was super-high-pitched and LOUD. my ears will never be the same! >.< *pained look*
then again, I forced them to play scrabble with me (almost forced. they half-agreed) and naturally, I won with 1 bingo (ROLLERS- too bad, only around 64 pts)and some chim words. (They haven't even HEARD of qi! *gasp*) -ego
I must say that the girl was a good flirter. I don't know who is better, her or the-one-on-my-links-which-i-have-not-particularly-liked-before. MISS ???? (guess that part), the famous hypocritical flirter. (sorry if you're reading this but it's the truth. from a ghost. <3)
an old neighbour (former neighbour, not age-old) is coming at 11, or was supposed to. 10 mins have gone past 11 (almost 10) and they haven't arrived. that's fine by me, tho. the girl is a little too bossy for my liking. (the parents give good pressies. <3 evilness)
then at 2 is the armegeddon of colleagues and old army friends.... (looks horrified*) luckily, there is only a few people of my age to disturb me- the rest are simply too young. I don't particularly like them much, somehow. they all have their own absolutely different lives. and most live in private estates, I should think.
I'm filling up this post with crappy rubbish. I'll see you later, with a tortured expression, maybe.

-more people, pls tag, and remember to drop by kira-chan's blog too! (tho her posts are kind of weird... xD I'm just being mean)
-re-watched akeelah and the bee today. LOGORRHEA (excessive, normally incoherent, talkativeness. sounds like someone we know very well, don't we. <3>
ok, ok, ok.
yay merci, mr. ang, for letting us off 5 minutes earlier.
and sorry teachers, my legs still ache from sitting 2 hours in the rather hot hall with my uniform sticking to my sweaty back. >.<
hey, wasn't mr.suhaimi the one in the police uniform in the skit??!! *laughs* mr. suhaimi, your acting rocks! xD
sigh* only learnt TODAY that I missed the president election during DMP when I was laboriously studying for math. I don't think I'll fail but I don't think I'll pass with FLYING COLOURS either. *sighhh*
niveda (how to spell. eek) is the new Pressie. (president, lar. not present.) congratulations!!! but I wouldve voted for lydd cos she's teh FAVOURITE.
*grins* sorry for sabo-ing, lyddiaaaaa*
^-^ still reading thru mrs. simon's "pride and prejudice". it's kind of confusing. they spell "choose" as "chuse". and the font is super small. but I lykkks it xD

Aargh. Was forced to create a Gmail account (gwwwace@gmail.com) in order to continue with this acc.
I read thru my previous posts and decided that they were too lame to waste my effort on editing anyway.
I went rollerblading today. I had to teach my daddy how to rollerblade but luckily for me, he's a fast learner. He only fell once.
I made a sharp turn on the way back and fell on a crack in the pavement. It hurt. *tears in eyes*owww*
I'm going to try ice skating one day, but my daddy wants me to master rollerblading first.

Hi people. I hoped you liked my last entry.
I'm so happy that so far, my tagboard at least has one person who's commented. I'm trying to get more friends to post.
Sorry... there's something wrong with the links... but it's quite obvious what the websites are once you click on the links, so while I'm cracking my brains to figure out the answer, just ... argh. never mind. you'll know what the website is, so just type it out. Okay? Thanks.
I'm so sorry if there's any inconvenience.
<3>
ps// The Miss Potter movie about Beatrix Potter ROCKS. I can't WAIT to get the CD!!! It's almost as good as Ice Princess.

oops. I have to go.

I managed to change the template to Jo Jo's lyrics (to Leave- Get Out).
If you want, I can send you her songs. some of them, anyway. I like most. Now that I've listened to them over and over, I like all of them. xD
Tomorrow's Friday, and I can't wait! Friday doesn't have any staybacks AND it has PE. Sadly, it's during the boring ol P3-4 assembly, so we can't play volleyball. *grrrr*
And we'll probably play some weird game like scissors paper stone or that staircase thingy. which I hate. >.< I hope we do that shuttle run again. Or sit-ups, which aren't that bad... I always end up sliding onto the grey pavement whenever I do push-ups in the canteen. Dang.

Phew!! I FINALLY solved the blogging problems. First, my blogskin went haywire, then I couldn't download a new blogskin, and then my font sizes were going haywire too.
And I've solved them! Many thanks to kibbie <3>
Well. I decided to make a list of what I like.
What I like- the views of the pretty and sweet maiden
  1. "Rebecca" by Daphne Du Maurier. It's meant for adults much older than me, of course, but it's so wonderful I couldn't put it down. I was sad when I finished reading the whole book, but my mother was happy cos she could finally snatch it from me and read it herself. (It was her friend who recommended it.)
  2. "Ice Princess". It's the most fabulous movie I've ever watched, and to this day, I must've watched it 4 or 5 times and might be watching it more! It's all about this nerdy girl who discovers her talent and love for ice skating in the middle of a school project based on ice skating. Then she goes on to refuse Harvard to pursue her dreams of becoming a champion ice skater.
  3. Wonderful people. They are those who stick by you all the time, not necessarily having the same likes and dislikes- in other words, great friends.
  4. Myself. (Mr. Ego!!!! Yay.)
  5. Shopping. I am a workaholic AND a shopaholic, I suppose. <3

there. my list's done.

*I hope you like my blogskin! I changed my old one to this one with the help of aforementioned kibbie. Jo Jo rocks. <3*
